Mayweather final fight.

Mayweather Vs. Berto September 12th 2015.

When arriving in Las Vegas for the fight you could sense the anticipation, and excitement of fight week. Sure it wasn’t the biggest fight of the year or of the decade but it was Mayweathers proclaimed retirement fight. One last opportunity to see the spectacle of boxing provide his Vegas like act of magically dethroning any opponent who steps into the ring with him.

Just like Las Vegas, always bet on the house. Sitting a few rows back from the ring I heard some other fight fans say
“I’ll put $100 on Berto, just incase he wins, the pay out will be huge!”
I thought to myself, ya, that’s probably not a bad idea but then I remembered Mayweather is just as much a part of Las Vegas as Las Vegas is of boxing. Fighting Floyd Money Mayweather is like dropping your hard earned coins into those beautiful, alluring slot machines. Your going to lose. Do you think all those gorgeous hotels were built on over priced alcohol and long buffet lines? I think not. They were built by people throwing their money into the abyss called Las Vegas Nevada. So as I sat back in my chair, ate my Philly Cheesesteak and watched the under card fights, I figured 48 times the world has bet against Floyd and 48 times it lost. So I decided to just watch Floyd win.
The truth is that it doesn’t matter who Floyd fights the critics will never be happy…
But I can tell you this
Khan would have lost in the same fashion as Berto, Brook would have lost, Bradley would have lost, Porter and Thurman would have lost. So I went to watch Floyd be Floyd and I enjoyed every second of the production!
At the end of the fight Floyd said that was it! And maybe it is and maybe it isn’t! But Floyd, thanks for all the good fights! I personally never minded paying for a paper view or a thousand dollar ticket because I understand it’s just entertainment! I enjoy it for what it is! Every time! At the end of the day it doesn’t change my life it just allows me to go to a surreal place where the only thing that matters for 48 minutes is the two guys in the squared circle! So thank you Floyd good luck and God Bless! I’ve enjoyed your fights and will miss the anticipation of your next fight and the fight itself!
